History

Beachport Primary School has been an integral part of the local community since its establishment in mid-1879 as a provisional school. Initially operating under the Mount Muirhead Board of Advice, which met in Millicent, the school played a vital role in providing education to the growing Beachport township.

In 1881, a new school building was constructed on the corner of Chambers and McCourt Street, and by 1882, the school gained public school status. This historic building remained in use until November 20, 1975, when Beachport Primary School relocated to its current site.

With a strong foundation built on over a century of education, Beachport Primary continues to embrace its rich history while providing a nurturing and innovative learning environment for future generations.
